CHOCOLATE DESTINY, ARC 3

[The governing article has indeed burned out]

Amos smacks his knee into the archer's shin, who tries to squirm out from under him.
*thock*
The blade hits the upper limb of the bow, carving a deep notch.

Amos pulls out his knife (had to double check I even had one) and stabs the archer in the gut.

Touka stumbles back from the attacks before she grips her club, flicks the switch to extend her clubs spikes, and with both hands and delivers an overhead swing with all her might at her opponents head.

(sorry if this doesn't make much sense, I'm tired and Nina's away in Vegas house sitting for her aunt & uncle.)

Amos reaches for the knife in his belt. As his fingers close around the handle, the archer socks him in the jaw.

Touka roars a mighty roar and swings a mighty swing. Those fellows will certainly pay.
Like a meteor from the heavens, the spiked club bears down the force of a hundred pounds, merciless and unstoppable. There is no escaping it. Touka's opponent stands no chance against such a blow. His bones would shatter.
His whole body would be flattened into a meaty pancake on the ground.
He would be absolutely, utterly crushed.

If he was actually there.
Weathered stone cracks, and tiny chips fly as the steel spikes drive into them. About fifty feet away the halfling observes Touka's club bloodlessly strike the ground with mixed confusion and awe. The archer would too, if he wasn't fooling around with another man.

Oh dear. It seems there were no opponents actually within Touka's reach to hit. All those chemicals must be getting to her.

Amos tucks his head into the archer's chest to stop his foe from getting anymore clean shots and tries again to stab into this annoyance's ribs. (Like hugs in wrestling)

Wrapping an arm around his foe's back, Amos draws him in and holds him close in a loving embrace. Amos snuggles his head in beside the man's breast, his dark curly hair bunching up against that tight leather jerkin. He can almost feel the comforting warmth of the other man's firm bosom, separated only by a few thin layers. There will be no more clean shots, for the situation is about to get very dirty.

Filled with intense longing, Amos unsheathes his blade. Sadly its length is rather lacking, and the girth is nothing to write home about either. Still, size isn't everything, and it will surely make do in a pinch. His partner certainly isn't complaining. Amos spends almost no time getting it up before unceremoniously plunging into the archer's body. A whispered moan escapes the man's lips as he is penetrated. Not being the type to savor the moment Amos pushes further in, eliciting a gasp of pain and hints of blood. But there is nary a thought of being gentle on Amos' mind, not even considering that this could be his partner's first time. It is not long before he is hilt deep.

At last Amos pulls out, spattering bodily fluids all over their abdomens. Overall, he is very satisfied with the outcome.

(sorry this is late, I have a life of my own, and Nina's a little busy delivering packages for the usps.)

Touka shakes her head to clear some of the haze from her mind and puts up a guard in anticipation for an attack, keeping her ears open in case an attack comes from behind.

Having gained the upper hand Amos makes short work of his opponent. He stands up with his augmented sword, still a bit light headed from his rapid ascent. He proceeds through the moss covered archway into the keep, and finds himself in the middle of a hallway dimly lit by distant torches. The hall gradually curves away to the left and right following the general shape of the building.

The halfling doesn't wait for Touka to lift her club before attacking. "Dodge this," he snarls, and throws three daggers at once.

One pings off the club as it rises into a guard position. The other two strike Touka in the right arm and left shoulder.

Amos follows the curve to the right with his sword ready and his dagger returned to its sheath.

[This does not include any entities that are out of PC sight or presumably deceased]

Touka starts beating a retreat around walls of the keep, not taking her eyes of her opponent and keeping her guard up in front of her and keeping her senses up to not be caught off guard by anyone behind her.

Amos continues down the corridor searching for a way to open the keep door. He thinks to himself that if he hurries he may yet be able to come to Touka's aid.

Touka backs away around the keep until she is at the main doors again. The halfling follows at a distance, muttering warily to himself. "The hell... must've hit her at least five times...the fuck is Rolf doing..."
Amos comes across an intersection: a wide staircase branches off to the left, while the corridor continues onwards.

Amos tries to listen ahead for any thugs that might be downstairs and proceeds down the stairs.

Amos does not hear much of anything ahead, let alone thugs. He proceeds down the staircase at a cautious creep. Dust has accumulated on both sides of the steps, which grow wider and take on a more pronounced curve at the base.
Halfway down, his foot slips off the smooth stone, throwing him off balance...
OH NO
...but Amos manages to grab the handrail in time and make a quick recovery. Good thing he isn't a useless piece of shit who plays games all day, or that could have been a nasty fall. Instead, he makes it to the bottom safe and sound.
Amos silently gives thanks to the memory of his dear, sweet brother, who warned him about stairs all those years ago.

The nostalgia-filled adventurer finds himself in darkened entrance hall with a high ceiling. There are a few wooden crates and a wheelbarrow scattered around. To his left is a doorway into a larger, well-lit room. On the right are the tall main doors of the keep, held shut by only a single wooden bar across them.

On the other side stands Touka, who seems completely oblivious to her surroundings, especially the black-clad gruff halfling who is brandishing more knives and telling her to step away from the keep and surrender. She should probably comply if she doesn't have anything better in mind.

She seems to prepare to rush at her opponent, holding her club with both hands ready to charge at her enemy. Her mind still clouded she asks, "Protection. Partner. I?"

Touka's arms hurt as she raises the club. It feels like they got cut by knives or something.
The halfling is looking mighty confident now despite her aggressive pose. "Oh no, the time where you could have scared me is long past," he declares, looking up at something behind her. "Just drop the club and bend the knee, missy, or my boy Rolf is gonna sit yer bitch ass down so hard you'll wish you had. Right Rolf? What? What is that supposed to mean? Guh."
He shakes his head and focuses back on Touka. "Anyway, this is yer last call. Surrender or die."

Meanwhile, Amos continues to stand in the entrance hall. It's almost as if he's lost his sense of direction.

"I don't have time to worry about dose stairs, I need to help Touka first." Amos hastily removes the wooden bar holding the door shut and opens the door (inwards?) with his sword ready in hand. "TOUKA! DON'T DIE! ESPECIALLY NOT TO SOME NECKBEARD HALFLING!"

"WHAT THE FRELL!?" The halfling nearly explodes with rage. "I know you can hear me Alma! THE GATES ARE OPEN! D GATES ARE OPEN!"
He throws two knives at Touka.

Switching to a defensive stance she attempts to block the knives.

Touka knocks both knives out of the air like she just doesn't care. Two more knives head Amos' way.

Amos attempts to duck behind the door and use it as a shield against the oncoming knives.

Touka charges at the knife thrower and ,when in range, swing at his torso with her club with all her might.

Amos gets back behind the door in time, and the knives clang harmlessly off the wood.
Touka rushes forward, and all of the halfling's courage evaporates in an instant. He must have forgotten to bring his halfling courage rock today. He nopes the fuck outta there.

Something hits the ground beside Touka but she is too focused to notice. She quickly catches up to the halfling on her longer, enhanced legs and brings her club down on him with all her might.
THWACK

The little fellow's torso is put through a very lossy compression algorithm. He flops to the ground, white bits of a shattered rib protruding from the black. It's quite a mess.

Her enemy defeated, she looks around to see if there are any other enemies around, if not she takes a breather and check her inventory to see if she has any health potions left, downing one if she has one. If there are enemies, she assumes a defensive stance to intercept any attacks.

Amos beckons for Touka to come inside so that might bar the door again.

Touka retreats behind the door, then checks her inventory for a potion to down.

As Touka turns around she spots a little black cloaked figure on the wall, a hint of green under the hood. It holds a long thin object with hands and mouth, pointed at her.

Something small hits the ground near Touka, stirring up a small patch of dust. Keeping her guard up, she backpedals through the keep doors, which are then closed shut and barred by Amos.
[Two healing potions remain]

She downs one of the potions, making note of what it's made of to see if she can replicate the effects of the potion on her own.

After drinking the potions she looks around the room to see what is around her.

Squinting in the dim light, Touka sees the same thing Amos did just now, which is a wheelbarrow, several crates, an entryway into a larger room, and a wide staircase. And Amos, of course.

Touka grabs the wheelbarrow and examines it's condition to see if it is suitable for something to use to block projectiles.

"You still with us Touka? You look out of it. Maybe too many tonics flooding your system?"

"Tired of getting hit, possible use as shield." She instead wakes the wheelbarrow and a couple of the crates and blocks the door. "Which way we go now?"

The wheelbarrow is in good working condition and was likely used recently judging by the dirt and straw staining the wheels. It's put to good use in blocking up the keep gate even more.
With the aid of the healing potion Touka's injuries have mostly clotted over and are no longer life threatening, just in case she was actually concerned about such matters.

She goes to work carefully removing the knives and such from her body, when she is done she drinks her remaining potion.

"Flip a coin" Amos says as he shrugs, "All that's certain is that we've got at least two of these guys to finish off. Maybe you need a second to breathe before we go on? I'm getting a little winded myself."

Touka removes the remaining knives in her body and the arrow with some difficulty and a lot of initial blood leakage. The last healing potion closes up all the wounds and barring unforeseen circumstances she will be back to tip top shape soon.

She simply nods and sits down behind the crates for protection, trying to calm down and clear her head as the potion and her healing factor heals her.

Touka would like to have rested to full health, but unforeseen circumstances have come to pass. Footsteps and a faint whooshing come from upstairs, and metallic clanking can be heard from the room beyond the doorway.

Touka ducks behind the remaining crates and prepares for the coming attack.

Black cloaked figures float at the top of the stairs, along with two women standing behind the banisters. Through the doorway Amos and Touka can see a large armored figure approaching.

"How many of these thugs are banded together here? How many can we put down before our stamina runs out?" Amos whispers to Touka

"I have no idea." She looks around the walls for a window.
