Re: Forced RPG
You find the carcass of a quadrupedal animal, it looks like it used to be a fox and has barely started to rot.
Re: Forced RPG
"Hey I found food for you guys!" She picks up the fox by it's tail and carries it over to the men gently placing it near the hobo.

Re: Forced RPG
You search the hobo's body, which only causes him to stir in his sleep. In his hand you find an old and tattered blank postcard with a drawing of the crystal and pedestal you just came from. The caption on the back reads "Visit the historic shrine of the Three Azn Bros, a legendary artifact said to be capable of summoning anything!" There seems to be fine print that probably says where it was made, but the condition of the postcard has rendered it illegible. Under his cloak you find a polished medallion made of some type of stone displaying the Yin Yang, attached to a cloth ribbon vibrantly colored with red, blue, and yellow stripes. You wonder if all the hobos here carry around azn bling like this. You also find under his cloak a...curious lack of clothes, and that he probably washes on the same schedule that Valve releases new major titles. There are numerous bruises, scars, and spots of diseased flesh all over his body. You ponder on how pleasant that search felt and how enticing the lifestyle of the hobos here are to you.
The hobo's foot prints trail further down the road.

You take out your status page. Unfortunately it isn't written in a beautiful calligraphy pen like Kai-Wario's is.
woops, wrong page. You flip the sheet....TURN-WAYS
Your hypnotic chest spell is a bit under-leveled considering your class, but you think the Seduction school is overrated in the current metagame anyway.

I use my Tome of Magic to alter my own stats to be that of an equivalent level Binder (that means I can force extra-dimensional entities to give me powers and favors).

Re: Forced RPG
OOC: You can't just change your stats and class in the middle of the campaign! That's cheating!
You take out your official Dungeons and Dragons 3.5e character sheet that you bring with you everywhere you go just to be prepared, feeling proud of being the only one that actually has a full 8.5 x 11 inch sheet of white paper instead of the powerofpoo quality torn pieces of scrap the others have.
Lacking an eraser, you scratch out the old information and write in your desired new stats and abilities from the Tome of Magic sourcebook. Seems legit. You feel the irrational fear that the DM will pop out of nowhere and yell at you for pulling off such a blasphemous exploit.
OOC: BTW Kai-Wario/nina you see annoying useless girl and give her your jacket and some kind words but you see a poor unconscious beat up guy and you mug him? This is some serious moral dissonance.

You started to rewrite your stats but realized it'd be confusing to put them in the temp fields, so you just decided to keep them in your head.

Re: Forced RPG
She laughs at the status sheet and pockets it. She then looks at the bum feeling somewhat sorry for him takes out her three stones and places them near his head. "Knowing my luck those will actually be crystals or something." She then walks in the direction the footsteps lead.

OOC: Awesome, when he becomes a god later on you'll be spared from divine wrath. or maybe "if" is a better word.
You follow Amos down the road and farm fields come into sight, with a wooden palisade farther off. There are a few human figures walking towards the palisade.

I don't know, it's whatever you want it to be, write it down on the paper.

After reading it, the character sheet in your hand flashes and you feel empowered.

No actually you don't, they are too far away by now but you still remember which way they walked off. The bloodstain from sandow's neck marks the spawn point.
@amos: As you get closer you see that the other people are 2 subsistence farmers wearing plain patchwork clothing. One is carrying buckets, probably filled with water. They enter a small rudimentary open gate in the palisade.

You follow them inside the palisade, which wraps around a small village of manually constructed brown stone houses with thatched roofs. As you approach one, he turns, and you observe that his face and skin resemble that of a middle aged Native American.
He raises a hand in greeting and asks you: "Ning, rongxing de shi-being. Ni gomoh yeh?"

Re: Forced RPG
You can see around 15 to 20 people out in the village, sparsely distributed.
The man pauses, thinks for a few seconds, and speaks again in what sounds like badly accented and fragmented Engrish.
"You no speak the vancren? From Aeng? Please come to chief."

Re: Forced RPG
@amos: You don't 'sense' any hostile intent, however you would do that, but people seeing you walk past are visibly discomforted by the sword at your side. The man is apparently leading you to a medium sized house slightly wider than the rest.
@Kai-Wario: It's the late afternoon, you see a few farmers still in their fields. There are a few small supply sheds scattered in the outlying fields. The palisade forms a rough kidney shape around the village. There is another gate and road leading out from the village orthogonal to the road you walked in on. On the other side the farmland gives way to forest.

Re: Forced RPG
Spawn where everyone else started with a titanium cross.
Appearance: Fully suited except with the cross in place of the tie. Hair and beard like so, except with a white streak in place of the red one. Wearing a Joseph Smith ring on the right middle finger and a Armor of God ring on the left middle finger (these are non-functional).
Is there anyone/thing still here?

You're busy waiting. I'll take care of the others first until the day passes.Xenoe wrote:Wut about meh?
@Kai-Wario: That will take a good part of the rest of the day, and you come back at evening, there are no farmers left in the field. By the way, isn't it rather difficult and time consuming, if not impossible to cut whole trees that thick with a kukri? How exactly are you obtaining the wood?
@Vroopmaster: Michael is still at the spawning point, too absorbed in his studies to realize everyone else left him behind.

Re: Forced RPG
@Kai-Wario: But if a tree falls in the forest and there is no one to hear, DOES IT MAKE A SOUND?!?!?!
@NinAmos: You both walk into the house through a simple wooden door with iron hinges, entering a large room with a low ceiling and several polished wooden chairs and long rectangular tables. There are several skulls of game animals hung on the wall along with wooden art pieces painted with warm color tones in myriad patterns. The man walks in behind you and closes the door. He walks over to the other side of the room where there is a door-less opening into another room and raps twice on the side. Another man with a tan native american countenance emerges, you glean that he is slightly older than the first by the extra wrinkles and a streak of gray and white in his hair. He has a sharp look in his eyes and his hair reaches slightly below his chin parted to both sides in a windblown look. He wears khaki leggings but is shirtless, revealing his wiry thin but firm musculature along with a thin string necklace from which hangs a large canine tooth and a pendant in the shape of a snake head. The first man says a few things to the second in a language you have never heard of. The second man nods to him and addresses the two of you directly:
"Greetings, strangers. I welcome you to the hospitality of Three Pines Village, tributary of the Guan District, originally of Clan Python." He pauses for a few seconds. "Now, as you may have guessed already, I am the chieftain of this village. My given name is Sanguratlus, or Blood Eagle in your tongue, but the Vance-ren call me Xue-Niao. You may address me by whatever name is easiest for you. This man here is named Painted Arrow, he is my closest friend and I trust him more than any other in this land. He used to be the village's wise medicine man, until he was replaced by a Yisheng from Vance. He now serves as my advisory. While I cannot deny that their medical techniques and herbs have proven more effective than Painted Arrow's *Painted Arrow looks down and sighs at this* -no offense, dear friend- I believe the Yisheng himself is a shallow-minded character who does not hold the best interests of the people or the Earth Mother at heart." He touches his hands together and bows to you, then sits down. "Oh, excuse my keeping you at attention. Please, feel free to take a seat."

"Colonization issues? Not quite. Vance conquered this area a few years ago, but this is still considered an unsafe border land to them, so only about 3 or 4 immigrants from their homelands have taken permanent residence here, and the occasional military patrol and tax collector. But enough about us." He clasps his hands together and turns to Nina. "Don't worry, I'm not going to oblige you to do anything for me right now, I'm sure as travelers you've come here for your own business. I do hope that you might listen to my story and work with me in the future though. As for food and lodging, you will have to tell me what your preferences are. Now, when our people travel abroad we usually sleep under the cover of sky and the support of earth, if you know what I mean. But while you speak the Aenglic tongue, you-" he indicates Amos "look more like one of us and dress far better than an Aeng savage, so I am unfamiliar with your traditions."
@Kai-Wario: You see ordinary farm tools in the sheds, plows, shovels, scythes, and a wagon. There are some lights in the village but the gates appear to be open and unguarded.
