Use the pick on my tomahawk pick to chip off as heavy a fragment as I would be able to theoretically carry, making sure to not cut myself while doing it.

/none are trying to eat nina? - well im gonna quickstep sideways so they are all, not behind me is I guess the perspective and im gonna do a simple face slash to anything the first one that tries to jump me.

OOC: Nina is frozen in time because she barely posts once every few days. Biting frozen stuff hurts. I'm kidding, she's far away, you walked a long way onwards. I'm going to find a way to even out the pacing for everyone.

@amos: The first one lunges, you slash and it backs away with a low hiss. The rest slow down and surround you, there are 4 total.

hows the slashed one doing - should have gotten an incision through the skull or cut out an eye considering their facial structure

anyways, time to break out the fancy powerofpoo - going for one that is adjacent to the one weakened one I am going to use a kote tare tare do slash inorder to account for the height of cat. In laymens term this means i do a very fast slash at the cats face, step in and basically punch the cat with my gripped handle, swivel around and do a horizontal slash. (its all very fluid if you only go 4inches deep - dont try to cut through the whole thing, just what it takes to kill - then you use the momentum from your tsudiyashe to move in and handle/grip bash the target and then normally you back off from the same target and do a cut in reverse, but you can also just spin on spot and go into a cut in a different direction).

@amos: The one you hit now has a large gash on the side of it’s head, and it is barely keeping up with the rest as blood slowly drips out. When you start to slash the feline you are aiming for leaps back several feet to evade while the other two uninjured creatures simultaneously lunge at you, one pouncing for your head and the other diving into your legs.


@Kai-Wario: You dream of jumping on fluffy and bouncy clouds in the bright magenta sky. The Flying Spaghetti Monster looks down on you sadly, pitying what is to become of you. You wonder what this is, and in a dread epiphany suddenly realize: it is THE TRUTH, just dangling in front of you, bulging into your face. You despair and try to shield yourself with your hands shouting “NO!”, afraid of what may come of it.

/use 6th kendo kata student form, a rising slash diagonally from bottom left to top right - in reverse, meaning the slash is done as I step away from them.

You catch the leaping one first in the torso with your strike, but misses the diving feline which slams into your legs with claws and jaws. You fall down. Before it can seriously damage your legs, the other feline knocks into it from the force of your blow and they roll away a few feet. The other two approach your prone body.

(falling to one knee because if the cat hits my leg as I am already going backwards I can use the momentum and collapse to one knee)
Anyways, from one knee down im going to assume the position for the 3rd Iaido kata which does a quick draw slash by quickly going from kneeling to one knee position followed by the second slash in the 3rd iaido kata. (yeah i could say sanhomen but thats not much better than 3rd kata)

If they both lunge I am going to do a Do (horizontal cut) and cut them both across their faces.
If one lunges I am going to do a smallmen.
If they get into a circling position i am going to utterly crush the ribs of the one that was at my legs by going backwards with tsudiyashi (let me clarify, by approaching it by going in reverse, then just straight up stomping the things ribs)
If its a repeat of the over and under bs I will do a full sayumen and cut them both down.

A foul stench starts wafting through the air, bringing blood and decay to the mind. A low fog has set down in the area, reducing vision to about 50 feet. The feline on your legs backs off, and along with the remaining uninjured one they suddenly lose interest in you and run off at a remarkable speed, the third one slowly loping after them. The feline you hit lies on the ground, dying. You hear wings over head and see some sort of flying creature leaving the scene. You also hear the clanking of chains in the direction of the hills.

Bury the remainder of the meteorite, using an arrow as a marker.

@felix: You carry the heavy piece of meteor with you, but slowly droop down, resort to dragging it along the ground, and get exhausted within 15 minutes. You are forced to sit down and rest your sore arms. Sure, you can 'theoretically carry' this rock, but only for a short time.

Yes, you are in the grass hilly zone. You keep walking down the road, but the clanking sound seems to be coming from something in that direction.

A hunched over creature walks out of the fog, with dull green reptilian skin. It stands about 6 feet tall on two reverse joint legs, on the ends of which are some sort of bizarre fusion between hoof and paw. A prehensile serrated saurian tail sticks out behind it, curling and swaying with each step. It has two strong looking arms with long talons folded up at an odd angle at its side, in a way that human joints would never bend.
The most striking feature to you is the head, jutting out horizontally in front on a neck as thick as the head's diameter, almost entirely made up of large red jaws, which gapes a few inches open to reveal rows of unnaturally long needle like orange teeth, from which a murky liquid drips. You figure they could open much wider, possibly enough to encompass your entire body's width. The clanking sound is coming from metal collars hanging off its neck and arms, very short chain ends hanging off them swinging freely and banging against the rings. It takes another step, distance from you about 48 feet and closing.

"Any language?"

It points its maw like head towards you, signifying that it definitely is now aware of your existence and location. It opens its mouth a bit and emits the following sound:

Whoops, wrong one. In any case it is a toneless call halfway between a sigh and a growl. It is probably not speaking, in any sentient language.

"Guess its just one flesh hungry person after another"

It passes you by about 10 feet and begins devouring the dead wildcat, keeping its arms folded up.
Openings you find: If its arms work anything like a human's should, it would not be able to use them to block strikes to the sides. But it is clearly not human so you may or may not be able to get past them. The legs seem like a viable target. You could also try to sever the tail, it might be used for balancing. The head is occupied with eating, but there you have no doubt that it would be able to defend against an attack to the head. Somehow.

THE SCENE!:

@felix: You don't have the skill nor the time(well maybe you do have the time) to carve it into a ball like shape with your current tools, so you are stuck with going side over side. This doesn't tire you out as much but it will still take a long time to get anywhere.

You try to slam it on the ground but at the last second some sort of unearthly shock goes through you, causing you to simply open your hand and drop the PSP, which lands on the ground without being damaged.

The fog is beginning to clear. It looks like it will take 2 more days of walking at this pace (assuming you sleep 6 hours and don't take breaks) to reach the settlement. Will you spend that time in the aforementioned manner?

@amos: On the second day you wake up to the sound of an large automobile motor. You get up and see a large green truck idling on the road, beside which two oriental men are standing, watching you and talking to each other. The doors of the truck have a pattern painted on them.

@Kai-Wario: It's morning. You wake up. Looks like a beautiful day.

@felix: You finally reach the town with your ball of dungdirt and meteorite. As you approach, you see that a good majority of the houses are large and made of finished masonry walls with slanting tiled roofs. The church spire can be just barely seen over the luxuriant residences. The open space within the town is covered with cobblestone to create a relatively smooth walking surface. As you 'roll into town' , a short and plump woman with curly ginger hair, blue dress and white apron comes running out into the plaza at you.
"YES! Finally, yes, he's here, everyone, come and see, the hero of prophecy has arrived to save us!!" She approaches you with open arms and a joyous face as other people emerge from their houses. "Thank goodness you've come, brave hero!"

"Thank you very much Mr. Niao sir. I deeply appreciate the food and shelter. I would also ask that you direct me to the nearest CHURCH OF WISDOM so that I am be a good worshiper and praise my GOD OF WISDOM and receive his very WISE GRACE."

He thinks for a moment, taking a swig from a wooden cup.
"We have shrines to the Earth Mother and Elder Python, but if you are looking for a place of worship specifically named a Church of Wisdom, I'm afraid there is no such establishment here."

"Oh, this is quite unheard of! Would you allow me to construct a CHURCH OF WISDOM in your village? I would also appreciate it if you provided a modest set of tools and materials and some workers to help me with the task. I assure you it will be well worth the investment."

He looks around the room. "This village is tiny. Even if it is worth the investment, I can't spare any people to work for you, we have crops and animals we must tend to every day."

@amos: The two start yelling in Chinese at you. It sounds like they are asking questions.

He stares at you. "What the hell are you doing here if you want a job? Fine, you want a job, HERE!!!!" He throws a clipboard with some papers on it.
