QWOP:



QWOP is a ragdoll-based Flash game by Benzido, created in 2008. In it, you play an athlete named Qwop who is participating in a hundred metres sprint event at the Olympic Games. Using only the Q, W, O and P keys, players must control the movement of the legs to make the character move forward. When the player has successfully reached 50 meters there is a hurdle, and at 100 meters the player is encouraged to jump, although simply passing the finish line is sufficient to complete the game.

Yeah, I just had to post this. At first glance, this looks nothing special. But, you will soon realize how hard it is... to walk. GL guys, cuz not even Waynezor could master this (not that it's saying much).

It turns out that the less fit you are in running correlates to a greater skill in running in this game. Maybe...

it's not fake, it's a glitch, i bumped my head when i tried to jump, then it went on for infinity, so i restarted... btw, only took me 10 min using crotch walk

Yeah. There's also a sandpit at the 100 meter mark for a long jump.

Crotch-walking takes way too long. There's no way that you have time to be crotch-walking on a school day.

Yeah, that's how I learned. But even when you know how, its very difficult to keep it up for a long period of time.

Well, it's extremely difficult(not for us, for normal people) to master the controls and run the entire marathon unless you crotchwalk, which is retarded and takes forever, plus all the movements the guy makes look really funny and it has fail ragdoll physics. If you really want to dig down to the core, I guess we all just have a really twisted sense of humor.

I'm not really into it, but I guess a major appeal is that it's an under-used concept with simple and clear implementation; complicating instead of simplifying movement controls for video games for the purpose of increasing the game's enjoyability.

Sorry to quote carl sagan here, kevie, but correlation does not prove causation. And the correlation itself sucks. Felix is more physically fit than me(he plays piano on a regular basis, I know, shocking), kelvin is as well, but they beat qwop and I haven't.

So you're saying piano is a form of exercise? I don't disagree that Kelvin is more physically fit.
