Creation story for LORE
Before anything existed, before darkness, before light, there was nothing (duh). Out of the nothing was born it, it was paradox, for it, a thing, came of nothing. From paradox came the shapers, those that created all of that which existed in the domain (The universe, just using it as a reference for a fancy way to refer to it, maybe some cultures way of thought). The existence of the shapers shut paradox out of existence, for paradox could not be where reality took hold. The shapers, shaped the domain out of their own soul and flesh. And thus came time, light, mass and all other things that exist within the domain. At the end of this creation, the shapers were no more as they had used every part of their being to mold out the contents of the domain.
Ok that was a rough sketch - Now before we move on we need to create a magic system, I suggest we use "drives" meaning multiple different basic ways for magic to work. examples of methods could be will, equal transaction (very much like alchemy), intent (similar to will but gauge on what the intent is and how large scale it encompasses), mana source, etc. Please give some suggestions, then during different periods of time different drives may be more popular in use.

bump - as a side point, to promote each person trying to play their assigned side to the best it can be without being ridiculous. Each person should have a hero/character/important person in their section they are in charge of. This could be anything from the king, to the archbishop, to the orphan hero, to a demi god, to a monster, etc. This way you can define you through this person, and then feel like you want to play up your side a bit more.

erm ok, we still need to settle drives so we dont argue about how it should all work later on.

Foreced Magic: The user has the potential to do magic but can not use it the way normal a magus can. The user has to force his body to conduct prana through it's system often damaging the central nervous system slightly with repeated use without medical attention causing paralysis. The result is often unpredictable but over time if the user focuses on one type of magic chances for failure in that one area is reduced. (Basically an no tallents way of doing magic)
Sorry if this seems a little rushed im at work and this idea poped into my head so i posted it.

Re: Creation story for LORE
I found this on Wikipedia:
Pronounced "shiro"
When a Japanese term is pronounced shiro, it may refer to:
* shiro (白?), the Japanese term for the color white
* shiro (城?), a Japanese term for a castle
Lol, Shiro is white! And you know that restaurant White Castle? I guess in Japan its Shiro Shiro.
Back on topic though....
I think psychological damage, or just flat out brain damage, should be associated with magic as well. Also, healing magic should be B@n'd. It makes things more tense when in a story the hero gets injured and he'll have to bear the consequences for a while (if not forever), and I need not mention how illogical it is to have a primitive society that has people that can cure cancer. This applies double to Resurrection, keep it out!

Primitive Societies didn't have people that could cure cancer, primitive societies had people with magic that could CAUSE cancer. Like Nrvnqsr. j.C BLAARGH!!!
Re: Creation story for LORE
btw, we aren't fsn, just saying, prana is kind of their thing, I realize it is just a name, but be careful there.
Intent magic - Learning to bend the paths of reality and fate with intent, requiring intensely disciplined to use. The more disciplined and focused one is the more they can affect paths of reality and fate. The longer something is channeled the more stress it puts on the mind. Holding a bent reality for too long can cause neuron damage, slowly damaging the brain at first, then picking up at an exponential rate to a point where the brain is devastated beyond hope of repair. The more spontaneous and or unnatural the Intent application is, the harder it is to do. Taking something that is already there and changing its physical shape is easier than chemically changing it. Obviously things like resurrection and kamehamehas are very hard to do. For beings with consciousness but without a brain, prolonged use eats at the essence of their existence.
EX - a person with a mediocre amount could cause a small or medium river to just flow sideways up the shore in a different direction. A ball of laser would take a huge amount of focus and discipline as it is far more unnatural and is the summoning of something spontaneously.
