Crucis Party

K, so I had this idea that sometime over the rest of the summer we all gather at somebodies house to play crucis for a while. any ideas, or house volunteers?

Also: Wayne, you need to show me how to undo the mod that makes rins 214a a ohko because it makes it impossible to beat the hard campaign.

lol , block? but also we would all need crucis useable laptops (cuz no offense to you guys ,but you arent touching my laptop) and people (me at least) are busy (I think kelvin is too).

sandow unless you want to redownload kelvin's version from his archive you are stuck with gandr shot hax for the rest of the summer. I suggest you learn how to dodge in the meantime, it'll be a useful skill in pvp as well.

hard com is EASY. the AI in CFF is really not that challenging, easy mode is like training mode except it actually counts, normal is the technical easy, and hard mode is the normal. really, you don't play hard mode for the challenge but to learn combos from the com. and you're maining bazett/saber? you will get pwned against ranged teams. despite the fact that they can smash out the most damage at a time bazett does not have the closing power of soichiro so it is rather imbalanced unless you play in the dojo where closing is not a problem. hence the reason why felix likes the dojo map and I hate it.

It is not that they are easy. Rather, they cannot use mana properly

lets think about this:
Saber's only moves with a good range are 236236b, and you could make an argument for 236236c (I haven't tried 236236a against a jumping opponent so I don't know it's range) but all are last resorts and 236236b is sub-par at best, 236236c requires activtion and your opponent hitting you as well as a two bars, and 236236a is difficult unless it is to finish a combo.
Bazzett: this nina has no ranged or closing whatsoever

the charge is not range (we argued this in a different topic), you can trip attack the charge, also yeah great excalibur is a range attack, but when it costs 2 bars you cant rely on it to range spam, invisible air is nice and 1 bar but again, specials are not what you rely on for your range. I am not that good, and I know that much. You dont rely on stuff that you cant do often, to be your main tactic.

Exception: Ilya Saber.

you cant just rely on excalibur all the same, you need to attack for the most part to get mana, even with tons of mana bars you need to be doing OTHER stuff too.

you CAN spam air though with ilya saber, if you are quan and crank the mana setting to 300%. @larry invisible air is very good for catching jumpers when they fall back down or you launched them, its a midrange move and is an extremely good combo chain finisher. on the other hand excalibur is probably the crappiest last resort in terms of tactical usage in the game, you can't chain it in a combo ever, even under best circumstances its an invalid, it is slow enough that you can jump over the user in the split second before the blast, the only retarded reaction to it is sidestep.

@Amos, it was easier to point out that they didn't have any ranged capabilities by saying what could hit somebody 1/2 to 3/4 of the way across the screen, charges will be removed from lists above

@larry: most of us proz take for granted that most last resorts are blockable, that is why we look for ways to chain it from a combo where they can't block.

lol, hay guyz... bak to the main topic.... we can crucis party at my house, also i believe i hve an extra laptop that my mom uses for work which she only uses for work on friday and saturday... if u guyz come between monday and thursday, then u can use that laptop... of course, u guyz would also have to bring your laptops to maximize the efficiency of how the games progress also i live right next to rio, so if u guyz get bord or hungry, u can just walk to rio and buy something to eat, watch a movie, or some crap...

@wayne: one of the reasons i use archer is cause knb isn't blockable, even by saber's unhitable charge

o, i almost forgot.... i also hve a netbook of which i hve no idea whether or not crucis works on it...... so..... we can also try that

EDIT: forgot to mention this: i switched internet providers, so i now hve 54mbps internet instead of 11mbps

it's blockable, but will do a whole F/UC lot of chip damage

Enuma Elish - 236236B is even worse than excalibur in terms of activation time.

indeed it is, but Gil's 236236a is also pretty good, has long range, and still deals solid damage, regardless you can still open up gates of babylon, and as thats shuting down ht him with 236236c

I'm pretty sure that Enkidu has infinite range ....

and 236236c shouldn't be chained if possible as it deals 1000 less damage if chained with gil's 214b.

If someone can give me a combo where you finish with 236236b(gil) i'll be impressed

Ohhh, so the annoying 'wap wap wap' thing I use on michael can chain into a valid excalibur? YESH

EDIT: Yes, it works, but it is very difficult to do. I can only do 2 C4Cs before its no longer valid. surprisingly it does more when you have air off since more hits on a combo do less damage. 5515 damage for 9 hit VALID.

For enuma elish u can chain it after a wallslam, same for all the gay slow beams.
To get enuma in a non wall combo though, u need Illya cancel, b 3b 236236b
