312. At any time, once per other player per circuit, a player may choose to duel another player by declaring that “its time to duel!” in a post and defining their target. Both players roll 1d6 each, and the highest result wins. The winner can choose to rob the loser of the difference.

[312a. A player may, before accepting a duel, roll one die (d6) in an attempt to flee the duel. The player who is challenging the other to the duel may not attempt to flee. If the player rolls a 1, then they are forced to fight and lose 1 on their die roll; if they roll a 2, 3, or 4, then they are forced to duel but suffer no penalty due to this roll; and if they roll a 5 or 6 then they successfully flee and earn the title of “coward” for a circuit.]

314. Any player that successfully repeals a law will obtain the title of “American Republican”. Republicans can choose to refuse government handouts (i.e. to discard their last dice roll) to shield themselves from the loss of points resulting from law 206 if their proposal that just got struck down dealt with the repealing of a law, such as attempting to repeal Obamacare.

315. At the beginning of every turn, excluding the turn before the turn of the player's proposal, a player may choose to enter the Ruined Castle. A player can only enter the Ruined Castle once per turn. If the player chooses to enter the Ruined Castle, they may not perform any other actions (other than voting) such as betting or dueling, and they are immune to any actions initiated by other characters such as duel challenges. If a player has previously performed an action (other than voting) or has had an action performed on them on the current turn, they cannot enter the Ruined Castle. The player will roll a die (d6) to determine what they encounter in the Ruined Castle. The results and their corresponding encounters are as follows:
 1. The player falls into a booby trap and is killed. The player's score and gold is reset to zero and they lose all possessions, material and immaterial (objects, titles, etc). Due to a Coward's cautious nature, anyone with the title of "Coward" can avoid such a fate and will receive no penalties from this roll.
 2. The player finds an immovable block of lead. Essentially nothing happens unless the player has the title of "Alchemist", in which case they may choose to transmute the lead into gold and take it with them, adding to their gold counter. The player must roll a die (d6) to determine how much gold they receive. If the player rolls a 1, then their transmutation backfires, transmuting their gold into lead. In this case they will lose 200 gold unless they have less than 200 gold, in which case their gold value becomes 0. If the player rolls a 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6, then they receive 100x their roll minus 50 gold.
 3. The player encounters a demon that possesses them, making them incapable of initiating actions (they can still vote) until it is their turn to propose. If the player has the title of "Heretic" then the demon ignores the player and the player receives no penalties from this roll.
 4. The player discovers a 'Ring of Power' and can choose whether or not they would like to take and put on the 'Ring of Power' (A player may not take a 'Ring of Power' if they do not put it on). 'Ring of Power' causes the player to win combats where they would be considered equal in power with their opponent (such as ties in duels). A 'Ring of Power' will shatter and be destroyed when it's owner takes it off, their finger holding the ring is cut off, or they attempt to back out of a combat situation (such as fleeing from a duel).
 5. The player encounters a Chronicler. Essentially nothing happens unless the player has the title of "Vainglorious", in which case they may choose to also forfeit all actions of the next turn (other than voting) and stay with the Chronicler to tell the Chronicler of all the player's glorious achievements. After the end of that turn, the player will receive 5 points.
 6. The first player to enter the Ruined Castle and roll a 6 on their encounter roll meets the Ghost King, who grants that player the title of "Royalty" (whether they choose to accept it or not). All other players to enter the Ruined Castle and roll a 6 on their encounter roll will have the choice of buying the title of "Royalty" for 200 gold or leaving without gaining or losing anything.

Now solely an Alchemist, I propose the following amendment:

307a. A player may now bet on the outcome of the next die roll for any applicable event within the game. They may choose to bet on the next roll in a certain type of event, such as attempting to flee a duel. They may also bet on a specific instance of an event, as long as it occurs in the future. For example, “I bet 8 points that Obama will get a 6 on his second roll to activate the Chaos Emeralds.” Bettors must state the type or instance they are betting on if they have chosen one, and may not change it afterwards. If no type or instance is stated, their bet will be on the next die roll that occurs in the main thread by default.

No more a heretic, I will exchange another 200 gold, pushing myself up to -1 points.

316. GOLD RUSH! There’s gold sighted in California, and players can embark on the Oregon Trail at any time, with a frequency limit of once per turn, to participate in the gold rush. Those who are already on the Trail cannot participate in a second Trail simultaneously. Players are required to have at least 200 gold before embarking, as the trip is quite expensive. Embarking on the Oregon Trail will take the participating player out of the community, preventing any players not on the Oregon Trail from taking any action against those on the Oregon Trail, and vice versa. Players on the Oregon Trail may still propose, vote, and perform actions that target themselves or other players who are also on the Trail. The entire journey will take a base of 4 turns and if and when players do reach California, they will obtain 2000 gold.
Players must state how many turns they have taken of their journey in at least one post per turn if they are on the Oregon Trail. Each turn, those on the Oregon roll 1d6 to determine what they encounter that turn, the results are as follows:
1. Die of dysentery, lose all gold and titles and get taken out of the Oregon Trail, unlike the ruined castle, the player’s score is unaffected. Affected player can choose to add 2 turns to the win counter for the Oregon Trail the first time to avoid death, but will die for certain if it happens a second time.
2. Typhoid fever, rolls for any player actions except proposing are reduced to 1 this turn, encounter roll result reduced by 1 next turn, for a minimum of 1.
3. Lost in the desert, add 1 turn to the win counter for the Oregon Trail
4. Nothing happens.
5. Going to town, can trade in an extra 200 gold this turn.
6. SHORTCUT. Subtract 1 turn from the win counter for the Oregon Trail.
All questions of honor posed by players on the Oregon Trail can be resolved through dueling unless there are more than 2 players on the Trail.
If a player wins a duel by 3 or more on the Oregon Trail, then they can choose to kill the opponent instead of robbing them, inflicting the same result as if getting a roll result of 1 on the encounter roll. This condition can also be avoided by adding 2 turns, but shares the one use with the roll result of 1.
If a player who has embarked on the Oregon Trail chooses to turn back and quit at any time, they become bankrupt from the huge cost of embarking on the trip, and lose all their gold.

The Alchemist has devised the following proposal:

317. If two consecutive dice rolls have the same result, a game of Grenade Hot Potato begins. A live grenade lands in the hands of the player that made the second dice roll. Every turn, a player holding a grenade must choose to either continue holding it, or throw it to another player who is forced to catch and hold it themselves. If the same result that spawned the grenade is rolled again, the grenade instantly explodes. The player holding a grenade when it explodes loses 20 points and all of their gold. Multiple grenades can be in play at once, and a grenade can be thrown to any player regardless of where they are.
