Gray Gets Low in his own fashion.
The sun is shining, the sky is blue, only wisps of clouds moving along.
The area appears to be deserted. The delicious sounds of distress are coming from the south and the east.

Gray makes his way towards the noise in the south-east while avoiding any obvious signs of danger.

It is not long before you come across the first corpses. The bodies of the destitute and unfortunate are strewn all along the muddy trails between shacks. From a precursory glance you can tell most of them have been there for hours, and their skin has faded to gray.
From the sound of it you are almost upon the source of the commotion, but you can now hear a breathy rasping sound coming from more immediately up ahead, concealed from your sight by a line of makeshift dwellings.

Gray sneaks towards town, disregarding the noise, while on the lookout for his destined gang.

You carefully skirt around the area the rasping noise is originating from. You arrive at the town's gate you were attempting to besiege earlier only to find a dense crowd of ragged looking people already trying to get in. Guards on top of the wall are firing down on them with bows.

Gray hides to see why the guards are still shooting the people in broad daylight.

You observe the scene from a distance, but surprisingly enough the guards do not shout out any motives for their shootings. Some of the people are trying to climb the walls but are quickly riddled with arrowshafts.
Re: Chocolate Destiny: A feline divergence
Gray closes in for a more close examination of the situation, careful not to get in range of the arrows.

You confirm your suspicion that there is something wrong with these 'people'. They all have elongated arms ending in black claws, and are making the same rasping sound you heard earlier en masse. Their skin is an ashy gray. Some are still walking despite being covered in arrows and various other open sores.
One of them at the back of the crowd turns and spots you with its sunken yellow eyes.

Gray has a feeling that something big might happen soon, but right now he does not have the liberty to freely wait. Thus he draws his saber, and attempts to dodge out of sight from the strange beings.

You take cover behind a tent of dirty carpets.
Suddenly you hear "TURN DOWN FOR WHAT" in Lil' Prince Ali's voice, and a barrel drops from the top of the wall.
EXPLOSION
Sparks, body parts, and smoke fly everywhere. The creature that spotted you before rushes to your former position, apparently unharmed.

Gray attempts to use the element of surprise to decapitate the strange creature that is trying to look for him.

The creature arrives at your former location, looking around warily. You circle around the tent and approach from behind. You are almost within range when its head perks up and it turns around. Keeping your cool, you lunge forward and lop its head off with your saber. The cut is imprecise, spattering you with congealed blood. The body jerks, clawed hands stretch out towards you for a moment, then it falls lifeless to the ground. The head moves its jaw a few times before becoming motionless as well.
You hear human screams and rapid footsteps from the shantytown, it sounds close by.

Re: Chocolate Destiny: A feline divergence
You come across a family of four being chased by two monsters.
"Help! Somebody help!" screams the father.
"We're almost to the wall, hurry!" the mother urges her children.
"What do they want mommy?" the girl asks.
"Oop!" says the youngest, a boy no older than 4, as he trips on a rock and falls face first on the ground. "Owww!"
By the time the family realizes he isn't following and skids to a stop, the gray walkers are closer to him than they are.
"Oh no! Get up, Little Timmy!"

Re: Chocolate Destiny: A feline divergence
Gray runs to where the boy is and throws a fistful of sand/gravel/dirt into the walkers' eyes, and then continues towards the town gate regardless of what happens to the boy.

Re: Chocolate Destiny: A feline divergence
"Little Timmy! Get up! Get up..." Their voices fade behind you as you approach the gate. The crowd has vanished, leaving in its place several gray corpses on the ground. The gate doors have been completely destroyed. Standing proudly in the empty stone archway is a muscular looking man with one hand on his hips and the other pointing a scimitar in the air. As you get closer, you realize that is none other than the Lil' Prince himself.
