It's really anime specific.

For example if you watch the Naruto dubbed your dumb, but somethings like Hetalia and the Hellsing OVAs can really go either way.

tl;dr I watch whichever one's better, and if they're both equally good, I watch whichever is easier to find (usually subs)

Again, depends.
Some animes that take place in Japan or have mostly Japanese characters should be watched in subs, but animes that are not japanerific (Trigun, Soul Eater, Code Geass, etc) dubs are preferable.

depends on the anime if its only available in japanese (persona 4 fate/zero) ill watch subs over raw because i may mistranslate something if there both ill watch which ever is better (subs garden of eden digimon [Yes i still watch it gotta problem?] dubs dbz cowboy bebop)

Code Geass is totally japannerrific, but if you like listening to jonny yong bosch that much then go do a bleach marathon.

IMO subs are usually preferred because english dubs are either poorly done or have chosen retarded voice actors for the roles. When a dub is DONE WELL (LIKE HELLSING) then it is superior.

@Kooay the reason i wasn't into anime was because of the retarded voice acting, which made me get off the influence in 3rd grade after i quit watching DBZ (altho tbh, the english dub for DBZ were better than the japanese dubs bcuz of goku's gey high pitched constipated voice)

I actually didn't like the english dub of hellsing. I think that the British accents sounded ridiculous. Then again, I only watch 4 episodes of that dub, so maybe it get better...

No, he just has a problem with english voice actors as a whole for some reason. Sandy you're very misguided, because you obviously didn't know that the anime and OVAs have the same voice actors for the main characters.

GAY-MOS soul eater dubs - so ghetto.

Dubs are better occasionally but leave you with GAY-MOS up talking mouth syndrome which gets annoying when you are intensely watching an anime scene. (can at least be bothersome some times).

For example - DBZ subs hurt because of the voices - gokus japanese voice actor has such a painfully high voice. Yet the dubs leave people with moving mouths for too long after they are done talking, and all their voices are grizzly and manly, that or they sound like pussies (cough android 17 and krillin cough)
