After his return from Yomi, the underworld, Izanagi performed a cleansing rite, which accidentally created three great deities, which manifest themselves as abilities he has:
Amaterasu, the sun goddess
She allows him to summon a great fire that can not be put out through non-magical means, and reaches temperatures as hot as the surface of the sun. Also, magical abilities' power of Amaterasu is dulled or nullified by Magic Resistance. This fire is created from his left eye and he loses this ability if that eye is gouged out. He also has a small amount of control over the spread of the flames.
Tsukuyomi, the moon god
He allows him to block three of the five senses(Hearing, Sight, Smell) of one or more opponents. This is powered by his right eye and dissapears if that eye is gouged out. Against an enemy with < B mana, it takes full effect, but for enemies with < A mana, it causes a dulling of all the senses. In this case, a shadow seems to be over the victim's eyes, he can only smell very strong scents, and can only hear over 60 decibels. It has no effect on an enemy with A mana.
Susanoo, the God of sea and storms
He allows him to summon a storm equal in power to Hurricane Andrew. This power is based in his nose and weakens if his sense of smell is dulled or blocked or his nose is cut off.
The amount of time he can spend using the Noble Phantasms is as such:
No mana:6 hours
Little mana:12 hours
Sufficient mana:18 hours
High mana:24 hours
Extremely high mana:Indefinitely
He can concentrate all of these into one ability or spread them out.
For example, with no mana he can either continuously or separately use all three abilities, or he can use tsukuyomi for six hours and nothing else, or Amaterasu for 4.5 hours and Susanoo for 1.5 hours, etc.
