It has really been a while since I updated the announcements...better start timestamping stuff! -- May 19th, 2011
But actually I stopped because my announcements are too trivial and nonsensical to be worth remembering.

Witch of Rondo and Reason, this group called alchemist's making an HD version of Umineko for the PS3, with REDONE ART AND BACKGROUNDS PLUS VOICE ACTING!!! zomfg can't wait for english translation and more importantly PC port(Probably not).
It already has 1337sauce music and story, so now ITS PARFECTO.
Whatsit got thats better than normal vns(like duh fag omgwtfotl)?
Better BGM, better story, better sfx(not rly), better art, (better ingredients, better pizza, Papa JohnsGRECO)

Oh hey, and if they keep most of the script, then translations can carry over pretty easily right? That gives it a head start! Very Happy

My opinion ps3 and 360 suck pc is a better system but will never be as popular as the consoles because microsoft puts all there money into 360 so the pc gets shafted most the time. Most likely there will either be an official pc version of this or someone will try and find a way to port this to pc.

If there is a pc version of this ill buy it not pirate to good to pirate. (ie will most likely take to damn long to DL)

Edit: I belive if you can find a ps3 from when the system was first launched you can play ps1&2 games but not entirely sure.

Okay, we can't expect Witch Hunt to make a translated version or even a PC port of any sort, but after seeing how there's patches to replace Higurashi sprites AND Background pics with the PS2 editions, it's probably not too much to hope for a similar project in the the works for this.

Umineko tweak wiki will be releasing patch 0.99 will have lots of stuff like new sprites, final background patch, tweaked menues and in game graphics fully voiced EP 2 and partially completed music box.
