Im a firm beliver in the death penality eye for an eye califorina has way to many people who are sentenced to death yet they cant be killed because the death penality cant be carried out here...well not anymore cali may reinstate the death penality if they have not already.

Death penalty should be administered but the use of it should not be used lightly.

Agreed life sentence: death penality no reason to have taxpayers pay for the treatment of prisoners. Seriously in cali they have it good 2-3 meals per day, recreation time, health & dental plans. And there are people who go to jail but get out almost immedietly or are sent to rehab instead of jail (hollywood stars).

Prison should be for suffering for there crimes not a free ride.

ya know I am pretty sure that the 3 meals a day are no cuisine, and they don't sleep in anything remotely fancy. And also I assume that the inmates aren't all buddy buddy "Hey dude did you catch what that guy did to that rookie in the cafeteria?"

My uncle who was in jail got fed mashed potatoes & gravy vegitables and some steak or burgers. On hollidays they where given potroast.

If thats not good meals then I dont know what is.

Not really, there's always been a special prison for the rich which was almost as luxurious as their regular lives, in a lot of societies.

Kaede and Amos, you can thank the ACLU for forcing the United States to treat criminals like guests in a all-expenses-paid hotel. Whats worse that in cities like Chicago, "politically correct and lenient" jail policies are a cover up for corrupt officials busting their buddies out or installing an option to bust out their buddies.
Here's what I have a problem with: people with almost no real knowledge of how the real world works, operates, or even looks like are the ones running the show. Lawmaking in Ignorance/just for the Political ticket is one of the biggest problems with our government. Its like putting one of us teenagers onto congress and having us sign laws when we barely know what goes on in most of the country!

except we would actually use common sense and get the country back on it's feet! Kids should totally run America!

And we should be able to drive at 14, and get high while driving.

And I think putting teenagers into congress and having them sign things is a really good idea, nothing gets done in congress anyway (else it'd be called progress lol) and its a good way for kids to learn through personal experience how the government actually works!

Hes mainly against it because of drug dealers in that country (least thats what my friend told me).

So you want kids to crash and burn our country instead of adults? Well there would be no change so meh let them.

At least teens would end up getting moody and killing another congressteen, at least something would be happen. It could be like a drama show "congressteens", the tension would all build up, and it would be an intelligent comment on society and how inefficient the political system is.

I think that we would all go to war with other countries if teens were put into political offices. They argue that Barack Obama is too inexperienced to run the country. Although i don't disagree with this quote entirely, consider the fact that teens would just be so fail. I'm pretty sure there are teens who WANT to be in Congress or whatever.

It just doesn't sound very practical. Probably the reason why we don't have teens in office right now

I was waiting for someone to say that the government DOESN'T work, the 'right' people get paid or elected and nobody complains, but I like your idea too.
