It has really been a while since I updated the announcements...better start timestamping stuff! -- May 19th, 2011
But actually I stopped because my announcements are too trivial and nonsensical to be worth remembering.

Riot is probably going to have a different picture for her final splash art even though the first was better just like Riven.
Oh yeah, "ranged caster" who is "extremely agile and versatile" and can "maneuver in and out of combat with style and grace."

cept that akali isnt a ranged caster - she is a ranged melee dps, and for that part, her ranged isn't really ranged for the most part. So, meh a ranged version of akali can be pretty cool.

lol, akali is psuedo melee dps, she's mainly melee AP burst, as all her abilities scale with ap, she gains a slight boost to her ad based on her ap bcuz of her pasive, but she doesn't get attack speed or attack dmg items

melee doesn't mean ad, she is a melee ap champ - the only range move she has incentivizes using her other melee based moves - even the stealth is more melee based and is used in melee range scenarios.

We don't call jax or xin ranged because of their closing moves - they are melee nonetheless - and while sion has a range move, its usually so he can run in and use his melees and melee range shield bomb.
