Your opinion on Dominion

The gameplay was meh. I don't think the minions should be as strong as they are. I do find that I like the health packs, the speed shrines, and the jungle, and I think the map is very well designed.

The artwork is GORGEOUS. It has such amazing detail and effectively creates an immersive game experience. The use, by both the map, and the announcer, of "Boneyard, Drill, Windmill, Quarry, Refinery" instead of just generic capture points, helps make it immersive.

gameplay is so fast paced omfg can't keep up, they really did a good job with that. It's really more like a capture point FPS match, MOBA style. The effects are really cool, setpieces all over the place that make it look alive, at least more useful than those stupid bug animations all over summoner's rift, those just eat up memory and stuff without actually making it look better. you can pretty much ignore the minions half the time, they are there to support 1v1s.

No, it reminds me of tf2 for some reason. Also, movement speed is so dam important, everyone takes ghost, flash is greatly reduced in its utility. Rammus is now OP, kennen is now OP, and pantheon/tf have viable ults again.

So lee sin seems ok, I dunno, I used him and failed, but he hinted at the ability to be like a low C tier.

I needa start running through all my options and seeings who the boss.

We need a setup though, like a static defender bot is pretty useful. And 2 or 3 going up to cap the top point is pretty important.
I was thinking of having like a sentry type role - a guy who just chills around the middle and goes and fights people running through it, or goes off to defend points. It would be someone tanky who can contest a point really well, who doesn't necessarily need a lot of speed, but does need to be a strong duelist.

Like if we used teemo for this, he could shroom up middle brush while speeding off to contest points - this would give us much better reaction time to people sneaking through the jungle.

Renekton would be really tanky and able to sit on the prospector buffs and cockblock people all day long.

Dunno, seems like an idea worth trying.

Also, stealth (when its used, not very often) is supremely annoying. You know how in tf2 the spy can just cloak through the battlefield and takes the briefcase? Well it's a lot worse in Dominion, because there are only 5 people on the team so its hard to spare one to sit on mid point for twitch/eve/backdoorfags

why don't u try out using riven on this map?

cuz im having the idea that riven is great as like a "O SNAP HERE I COME" rather than legit fighting.

You mean as an assassin. A good majority of champions have that label for some reason. stupid riot ratings

I've definitely see the beginnings of a meta emerging, so I'll outline it for those less familiar:
Standard Team Composition
2 top, 2 bot, 1 mid.
In more detail,
2 bot
these are generally the best laners, and the area between boneyard and quarry is generally similar to "bottom lane", early on.
2 top
the best pushers. they need to push HARD to get control of the windmill early game, and can often decide a game then and there.
1 mid
whoever's left.
Alternative team comps,
4 top 1 mid: this is for those who want to get windmill quickly and move to refinery or drill, and don't mind sacrificing boneyard or quarry.
1 mid 4 bot: a slightly more effective reversed version of the previous. more effective because you already control a point and are pushing easily to the next(i.e. you need to fight early game for windmill then push to drill but don't have to fight for quarry, and don't fight 'til you're pushing to boneyard.)

Some Setups
2 top:
AD DPS - Get phantom dancer lulz and beat down contenders
Rammus - powerball ghost mobility boots speed shrine. You'll be at windmill before some people reach mid. like a boss.jpg OVER 9000 MS BWAHAHA

1/2 bot:
Heimerdinger - partner can help cap it then leave, and heimer can just camp it for the rest of the match. trollolololol

I've found that 1v1/duelist champions become much much better on dominion because a lot of fights are small scale 1v1s or gang ups. These include Fiddlesticks, Nocturne, Malzahar, stealth champs..

Has anyone tried Jax on dominion yet? He IS pretty freaking amazing at 1v1ing. I've also seen a lot of people succeeding with mordekaiser es #1 huehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehue

guess waht, I solod him as yorick at the start of the game (just me vs him, in a lane away from a capped turret). EASILY.
