This is a phenomenum first pioneered by the Koreans. After attempting to learn English, their native language prevented them from forming the "L" sound. So, they alternatively pronounced it with Rs. Thus, hello became herro. This was later popularized by Youtube superstar Peter (Peta) Chao, whose greeting was "Harro!" This was eventually localized to our school by a few (me included).

This effect is also seen in Japanese, since it does not use Ls either.

Btw. It's Light YAGAME. And L is eru (or something close to that effect).

I think it's just a few of us now. Me sometimes, but not often anymore. Kevin Mei and Quan sometimes. I can't think of any more. But yeah, some people use it in a racist way or to be annoying.
