Suggested Readings?

Ok so other than the basic typemoon 07 recommended vns, does anyone have any visual novel suggestions?

Herp Derp you can't get a PhD without reading everything 07, and that includes the Higurashi Answer arcs (so the only one with a PhD would be Hector). You'll get Undergrad like me.

Well besides typemoon and 07 I would recomend Chaos;Head a nitro+ VN about a hikikomori who gets caught up in a series of murders. This VN has alot of psychological themes in it and many scenes can change depending on the main characters psychological state (good state of mind: happy/funny scene bad state of mind: violent scene).

I'm reading clannad (read it it's a good read), Shuffle! (haven't started yet but looks pretty good) and kirakira (VN revolving around music also pretty funny). Also read Saya no Uta lots of fun there.

No, hector hasn't read the answer arcs, I don't think he's even read the question arcs, he's only read umineko up to 7.
Also, there's all the extra tips, Rei for Higurashi and Tsubasa for Umineko, so we're months away from anyone being even remotely close to a When They Cry PhD.

@quan I recommend all the Key VNS: Kanon(4 p0rn! jk), Air, and Clannad. School Days, Saya no Uta, and you definitely want to put True Remembrance at the top of your list, its short but good.
Ever17: Out of the Infinity looks good, haven't read it.
if you wanna mix it up try Utawarerumono or felix's Eien no Aselia/Seinarukana series.
It seems you're getting a little ahead of yourself, after you finish Umineko and Higurashi Kai, Kagetsu Tohya, and a bunch of other stuff first.

So how much do you need to read for PhD?

I'm not planning on reading Clannad unless I have 300 hours of spare time to kill, cause it's a shoujou with no hentai. Also, I've herd the KnK LN is pretty good, and I'm halfway through F/0 and its good.

Wind ~ a Breath of Heart - FAGGOT KERN-PERETS awesome. I liked it almost as much as I liked Clannad.
Shuffle - ok, but sorta cliched and only has a decent plot.
Soul Link - Excellent plot. Too much h stuff.
Sharin no Kuni - Pretty good. Has a very unique plot.
Yume Miru Kusuri - Completely FAGGOT KERN-PERETS up. About drugs and crazy ppl
Saya no Uta - Excellent plot. No good endings. Too many h scenes (although they are technically horror scenes)
Chaos;Head - Very interesting story. Unique way of choosing choices. A little weird though.
Planetarian - Kinetic novel. However its a tearjerker, and I love those

depend on the content, they could be fap material, pepper (to jerk tears), eyecandies, GAR examples, pure epics or powerofpoo ... =)

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Sengoku Rance

Well this reading suggestion stuff. I thought Sengoku Rance was a strategy game + H. You could start a topic on it.
