It has really been a while since I updated the announcements...better start timestamping stuff! -- May 19th, 2011
But actually I stopped because my announcements are too trivial and nonsensical to be worth remembering.

d00d there's no option for it, and the widgets are useful tools.

I removed it at first so the main fora would fill up the entire window, so line wrapping wouldn't be so prolific. Then I added it back because certain widgets are very helpful:

1. Top posters list, so you guys know who's the big dog RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW.
2. Search. Nobody uses it(no wonder we keep reposting the same stupid things over again, we can't find our old crap) so I thought i'd pimp it for fun.
3. Latest Topics: Just in case a section has multiple unread topics, it also can reveal if someone's been spamming to get their post count on. *cough* amos
