You can play offline and save offline campaign files, the online save file just transfers anywhere that you can log in.

skirmish mode is greatly enhanced, you can actually do Cooperative games vs AI, for 2v2 and 3v3. AI has 5/6 levels of difficulty, our standard of play is "very hard", OMG innuendo.

EDIT 2: first one doesn't include all the cut-scenes, 2 has all of them, WATCH THE SECOND ONE, but the first one includes both choices to two particular choice missions as well as the prompt (link 1 vids 2 and 4), if you're interested in that, then watch one, the cutscenes that r included in 2 but not 1 (link 2 vids 12 and 13) aren't necessary to the story, they are the types of scenes where the commander raises the moral of soldiers or gets into a personal talk with a subordinate, etc..........

aside from one key action scene in the end, almost all the deaths and action is counted from the missions. my bad, zeratul has a cinematic fight too. The rest of the important action is all in missions, kinda makes some things seem out of context.
