It has really been a while since I updated the announcements...better start timestamping stuff! -- May 19th, 2011
But actually I stopped because my announcements are too trivial and nonsensical to be worth remembering.
I leave the following line up for nostalgia purposes as well:

From what I can tell, most of you guys here have different tastes then I do, so you probably won't like most of what I have to suggest but:

Battle for Wesnoth (if you like strategy)
Dwarf Fortress (it takes a while to learn)

or, if you don't mind using DOSBox:

Railroad Tycoon (excellent game, "better than it sounds")
Albion (one of the best adventure games I've ever played)

If you don't like strategy/managerial, the only one you'll want to check out is Albion. It's an amazing game, so don't let my other choices keep you from trying it.

I actually like stragety games the comp I'm using at work has civ4 and I like the tycoon game series. I'll try all of these tomorrow thank you for suggesting them.
