Re: The Curse Filter (lol red truth)
It seems to me like ' powerofpoo ' is the most frequently used one.
Yo Kooay, do you know if there's a way to look up the most frequently posted word?
It'd be hilarious to see the stats xD

Re: The Curse Filter (lol red truth)
AMOS tried to stoop to my level and became what he calls a 'word nina', defining '-' as whatever he AMOS wants and trying to say it's still math*. Now, I'm actually kinda glad he knows how I think now, so I'm bringing the censor on AMOS back to AMOS. A particular character "AMOS", can be defined for anything since its an arbitrary symbol as quoted by him below, lol.
*languages and math are based on the fact that people agree on a certain definition of a certain symbol, if your definition doesn't match up with what is accepted, you aren't speaking that language/ doing that math according to other people. maybe you're speaking that language to you, but whenever your deviating definitions come into play you'll have to explain. a AMOS comeback would be 'ok sure i'll explain, no problem' or something along those lines. Well, I explained my censors.
In all honesty AMOS would describe this as 'pathetic' or something along those lines, and most of you won't be using the AMOS filter anyway, I probably just wasted 5 minutes of my life.
- Spoiler:
- Amos: (k)
(k-1)
(k) = (k-1)
Ieyasu: thats not induction.....where's your sigma
Amos: i meant recursion
my bad
Ieyasu: epic fail looks like you don't like math either
what'll be next, science? lol
Amos: i like science
Ieyasu: lol u like duh math?
Amos: nope, doesn't interest me
I can see how someone could like it
Ieyasu: thought so
Amos: but its not for me
Ieyasu: yeah, k = k-1
that would be valid in c-based programming languages, not so much in math
actually that makes no sense in math
Amos: depends on what you define - as
Ieyasu: no it doesn't
if you're definition doesn't match the mathematician's definition
it is not math
Amos: you can define function, symbols are teh relative
Ieyasu: yeah but - has already been defined
Amos: its awfully convenient that almost everyone uses the same mathematical system
Ieyasu: so has gamma
and the lambda function
Amos: thats aGIMEL
Ieyasu: excuse me amos
Amos: god damnit I don't care if math calls it lambda
Ieyasu: math IS definitions, partially
Amos: when I write that in hebrew to make words
Ieyasu: if you make your own definition that doesn't match up
Amos: I make a gimel
Ieyasu: you are not doing math
right ok, you made a gimel
but
has someone already defined the gimel?
as a function?
Amos: I dunno, its fairly possible, I didn't learn algebra in hebrew
Ieyasu: just go to any old bookstore that has a math section
Amos: maybe they have it labeled for some other function
Ieyasu: look for some high level books
a lot of function names
have been taken already
Amos: have you read a math book in hebrew?
neither have I
its wholly possible
especially since israelis, and that section of the world
Ieyasu: it is also wholly possible that someone already made a function
Amos: could give less of a damn
Ieyasu: with that name
right ok, but what sort of practical use would your gimel function have
Amos: two people can invent the same thing at the same time in different places
Ieyasu: they don't give a damn, because it doesn't really matter anyway
Amos: and it can be called different things
Ieyasu: yeah, like leibniz and newton
you know those guys right?
Amos: so because one of them decided that the device is named X, it can't be called Y by anyone else?
Ieyasu: they invented the same thing in the same time in different places
Amos: wasn't it the dual discovery of the compass or the astrolabe?
something navigational wasn't it?
Ieyasu: wrong
it was the invention of something that goes by only one name today
but you can make your own name for it if you want
you know what it is?
Amos: ?
Ieyasu: calculus
Amos: ok
btw Newtons a hackneye
Ieyasu: no he wasn't, he just wasted a lot of his life pursuing failed alchemy
Amos: he jacked researchand data from others
Ieyasu: genius has its eccentricity
Amos: like Robert Hooke
no
robert hooke
did research on gravity before him
and basically defined the idea of gravity
Ieyasu: I'm not talking about gravity I'm talking about calculus
Amos: yeah, but there a number of other things that predecessors to newton established
and newton repackaged them and marketed them as his own
Ieyasu: do you think newton and leibniz both called their invention calculus?
Amos: nope
Ieyasu: uh huh, so what you are saying is
two people can invent the same thing at the same time in different places, but its really just one guy who ripped off the other
Amos: I am saying thats not the case
and that names are relative
and so too are symbols
Ieyasu: yes
Amos: and that the symbols used in math
are a convenient set of symbols that people in general agree to use for th same purposes
Ieyasu: yes
but you're not agreeing
so it is not math
Amos: math is abstract is it not?
Ieyasu: oh ok fine, your math is different
Amos: I can take + and define it for a certain problem to be some other thing
its not teh addition you are thinking of
its a different addition
Ieyasu: yeah sure have fun doing that on your homework
Amos: its a different thing
thatd be amusing
Ieyasu: oh the + sign means this so I got it right actually
Amos: teacher would argue "well if youare determined to do that, you have to at least determine them ahead of time"
Ieyasu: no
Amos: somewhere on teh page
Ieyasu: you didn't invent -
Amos: didn't know the - symbol was hyphenated
Ieyasu: its still true
Amos: scrath that
too tired
Ieyasu: you didn't invent -
Amos: i meant copyrighted
Ieyasu: doesn't matter
it's something that can't be copyrighted, didn't you listen to dr. wang?
Amos: in that sense I am pretty sure no one invented it
its a naturally occuring shape
like a branch
Ieyasu: right
Amos: on teh ground
Ieyasu: you can say what you think it is
and it will be right to you
Amos: I can define it, for my purposes as I want it to be
Ieyasu: but if it doesn't match up with what other people think
other people will disagree with you
Amos: but if you don't go with the assumed uses, then you more thn likely have to declare them somewhere on your page elsewhere.
you aren't wrong, you just did something obscurely inefficient.
Ieyasu: right ok so let's say you said '-' is another function
what are you going to replace subtraction with
Amos: some random squiggle
its not particularly important now is it?
Ieyasu: yes it does, you have to define that
Amos: ok well lets see what alt code throws out there
叒
Ieyasu: you'd better hope I don't recognize it
Amos: ࣼ
Ieyasu: haha too bad its a chinese character
that is too
Amos: oh hey
Ieyasu: this is american math
Amos: unless that chinese letter is defined for in math
apparently its a ok to use it
people use gimel as 'lambda'
Ieyasu: ok then, so you replace subtraction with that?
Amos: gimel is a hebrew letter, 3rd in teh hebrew alphabet
sure
Ieyasu: ok
why don't you do that on the rest of your math work for the year
oh, and when you enter calculus, use the special dot notation for derivatives
it will piss the teachers off
and whenever you have mr. flowers
say that the limit of 1 over 0 is infinity
and be stubborn about it
it will be really amusing if you use a different symbol for infinity
Amos: it would be amusing
btw
I am pretty sure like 30 minutes ago
I said I need to sleep
Ieyasu: see, math is interesting!
Amos: not really, I think we argued about alphabets
and symbols
not so much something with in math
Ieyasu: oh, so none of those symbols are used in math?
I went on a little while about leibniz and newton, and you learned that they invented what most people call 'calculus'
Amos: did we argue about their particular uses and relevance in math, no, just that a particular character a, can be defined for anything, since its an arbitrary symbol.
Ieyasu: and you probably made up some weird other name for it in your head
Amos: and I need to sleep
Ieyasu: well math is also about definitions
you define variables
"did we argue about their particular uses and relevance in math, no, just that a particular character a, can be defined for anything, since its an arbitrary symbol."
uh huh, but languages and math are based on the fact that people agree on a certain definition of a certain symbol
Re: The Curse Filter (lol red truth)
you failed to use your censor contextually. -.- thats not an AMOS thing to do.

'as whatever he AMOS wants.' if that's not contextual I don't know what is.

Re: The Curse Filter (lol red truth)
you should've asked, "Is that AMOS censor in place again? god AMOS dammit I can't believe you AMOS did that! I'm going to AMOS swear as much as I AMOS want thank you very much! AMOS !!!! Let's see what other AMOS censors you have in place you AMOS!
Re: The Curse Filter (lol red truth)
it ruins it, at the very least sub in AMOSing for fvkcing, otherwise we are lacking a useful form of the word.

Re: The Curse Filter (lol red truth)
nahh I don't think I will, the way it is now people will have little to no AMOS idea what I'm going to AMOS with my AMOS AMOS censor, AMOS language AMOS, AMOS yeah!
Problem AMOS?
Problem AMOS?

Update I was bored so...enjoy your now tense-sensitive censors guys!(on AMOS)
see if you can find 'em all.
