Ready Player One
Not really sure where to post this, so I'm posting it in the Old Stuff section.
I was browsing around and came across an announcement that Steven Spielberg is directing a movie based on a popular book named "Ready Player One".
Since I have nothing better to do right now, I started reading it and I think that it's a very interesting book (As the name implies, it's pretty heavily related to gaming).
It's a pretty short book, around 300 pages, and I'd recommend it if anyone is bored and needs to git gud.

Dammit mayne, do you not see the sign that says weirdo's rpg corner, that's the ghetto part of the forum for people I don't know IRL. Pureezu don't get their hopes up before they go to concentration camp (to help them concentrate, of course).
Ah well. This looks like another ermahgerd, inside a video germe plot with a nerdy guy. What makes it different?
why not watch "unfriended" instead hurhurhurhurhur

Re: Ready Player One
my bad bruh. It's not exactly an "inside a video game" plot type of thing. It has a lot more to do with old school 80s video game references. If you want the lowdown, I'll give it to you. I'm just saying I really like the story and writing style and I'm recommending it.
- Da Lowdown:
- Basically the book is about this easter egg hunt that this rich guy made as his last will and testament. The easter egg hunt occurs inside a virtual reality world called "OASIS" in which pretty much the entire world relies on to conduct life stuffs as the world has gone to shit (the environment is shit, the economy crashed, etc). So honestly, it's more like a lens to see the world the people live in (and lets the writer take certain storytelling liberties) rather than a video game. So the easter egg last will guy pretty much really loved 80s references and culture so that's kind of the essense of "the hunt".
