It has really been a while since I updated the announcements...better start timestamping stuff! -- May 19th, 2011
But actually I stopped because my announcements are too trivial and nonsensical to be worth remembering.

New Private Messaging System! Empty New Private Messaging System!

Exclamation Attention all forum-goers, ProZ and noobs alike: Exclamation

I am implementing an all new, high technology system to replace Forumotion's default private message mechanic.
I am performing this selfless act of courage and sacrifice for myriad reasons, some of which will remain forever a mystery.
The following are but a few of them:

  • The default system has a really low limit, and my new genius method will leave you flabbergasted with amazement at the Unlimited Space Works that will result
  • Pretty much all PM conversations are between me and someone else.
  • It makes both you and I feel smart for subverting the oppressive hand of Forumotion Authority.
  • I love you*

Here's how it works:

  1. I create a category in Important Stuff called "Private Messages"
  2. In that category, I create a subforum with your chumhandle on it that is only visible to you.
  3. When you feel the telltale signs of PMS** coming on, you go to your subforum in Private Messages and
  4. Masturbate furiously Make a thread there with your PM

So you see, I'm doing half the work for you! Isn't that great?
