It has really been a while since I updated the announcements...better start timestamping stuff! -- May 19th, 2011
But actually I stopped because my announcements are too trivial and nonsensical to be worth remembering.
I leave the following line up for nostalgia purposes as well:

February 4th, 2047

Low unearthly siren tones can be heard, but they appear to originate from outside city limits.

A dull blue screen with statistics is on instead of the news. The following audio is heard:
"Welcome, welcome, welcome to City 65. You have chosen, or been chosen, to reside in one of our finest remaining urban centers. I have thought so well of City 65 that our benefactors have wisely decided to establish an administrative hub here for all of us. And so, whether you are here to stay, or passing through on your way to parts unknown, welcome to City 65. It will be safer here."

Weather - Cloudy, Light freezing rain.
Temperature in degrees Fahrenheit- Low of 25, High of 60.
