I'm assuming no one is going for Gabe Newell room-mate, he'll just photobomb all your pictures and troll you with half life 3 teasers.

Re: Artifact Choice
It's not me, I didn't vote. I narrowed it down and it could have been:
michael
Nullset
nina
felix
brian
one of those random people that joined in the past few days
dam, that's pretty much everyone. I'd pin it on sandow, but he hasn't been on since the 23rd, 4 days before I made this topic.

I was the one that picked rei and asuka but for some reason it is showing that i didnt vote.
Picked them because it would be interesting to have them as friends/roommates.

Re: Artifact Choice
For me it was a tossup between mech (decided against it because it wasn't a gundam type mech with the easy controls, seriously have you seen the standard battle mech controls http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SteelBattalion , one ring (crime spree!), and the iron man suit (i can repair it but it says nothing about being able to keep the power going) but the toilet won out because it seemed to be the most practical to and it is comfortable.
I'm pretty sure nina picked the the eva girls because of lesbian potential as well as the reasons listed above.

Re: Artifact Choice
Yeah, just look at this pro:
Monocle would be really cool, because abstract concepts also "exist" technically, so you can see the "best way to kill someone" or "lowest price for this product in the world" for those of you with tamer tendencies. It's basically an internet search engine, except with a much wider scope.
Reincarnation Pill would have been my second choice, but the catch is that you have to take it on the day you die, and I don't know exactly when that is, so I could die before taking it, and it never said it couldn't be stolen and used by someone else.
I choose the One Ring. Apparently it won't "corrupt", which I interpret as turning into Gollum or whatever. The initial invisibility would be helpful, and I don't know if I am a strong enough person to master the abilities, but hey, immortality.

Re: Artifact Choice
The Reincarnation pill's problem is easily solved. Just kill yourself right after taking it.

Your didnt choose the mech because you were never able to push the eject button in time and always died.

Re: Artifact Choice
Yeah most of us have played MechWarrior, and we are pro enough to fully utilize all the controls. FreeSpace 2 had less complicated scheme, and I liked both. You're just an engineering noob.Char wrote:For me it was a tossup between mech (decided against it because it wasn't a gundam type mech with the easy controls, seriously have you seen the standard battle mech controls http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SteelBattalion
lesbian potential.......
Re: Artifact Choice
Nah the problem is that he gets tunnel vision in a game and forgets to check his health bar. And that game he posted a link to was steel battalion a $200 game with its own controller with about 40 buttons not mechwarrior.

Re: Artifact Choice
It's the same thing, having a controller with visible buttons and such makes it easier to see everything that matters. Now granted I'm not a big fan of these games, I'm just saying that complex controls shouldn't affect your choice.
Re: Artifact Choice
Not if most of those buttons are pointless outside of the start up sequence and your trying to press the eject button without looking. Although i will say i take out more enemies then nina so fair tradeoff in my opinion.
