It has really been a while since I updated the announcements...better start timestamping stuff! -- May 19th, 2011
But actually I stopped because my announcements are too trivial and nonsensical to be worth remembering.

As you've probably heard, as of today, MegaUpload, and all of its related sites, have been taken down. MegaUpload's executives have been arrested.

Within hours of the arrest, the Department of Justice's website, The MPAA's website, and the RIAA's website were DDos'd, in one of Anonymous's biggest organized attacks.

EDIT: fbi.gov is down too

I didn't like megaupload that much anyway, but it's only a matter of time before they move on to others like rapidshare and mediafire. Lrn2hax

Meh never used MU so doesn't affect me. Also from research I have done (very little just googling stuff) it looks like they are being arrested because they were making profits off of movies and such through membership fees and advertisements.
