Jose attempts to curl into a ball and roll away but finds that he is unable to do so under the creature's weight.

Nikolai begins running towards Jose's location while shouting words of revolution at his comrades.

Two on either side of the beast, the cloaked comrades thrust their spears at the beast.
3 aimed pretty high up on the beasts sides and found that their spears deflected right up off the beast's iron-like hide.
The final comrade struck a low blow at one of the beast's hind legs, penetrating its flesh as it lets out squeal.

This moment of weakness was enough for Jose to curl up and escape to the beast's right.

Jose takes hold of the weapon that the comrade used to pierce the beast, and attempts to help the comrade drive it further in.

As Jose gets up and reaches for the spear, the shaft starts slowly moving away from him. Then, the shaft comes right back at him, forcing him to dodge it.

As Nikolai's runs towards the beast, he sees it shift its weight counterclockwise, then quickly clockwise to launch a counteroffensive against those surrounding it. two cloaked comrades are knocked against the walls of the cave while Jose and two others manage to dodge in time.

Jose tries to find a dropped weapon, or solid implement, and hit the weapon that pierced the mole in an attempt to knock it out and bleed the mole, or at least aggravate the wound.

Nikolai stabs the beast in its unstabbed hind leg, penetrating its skin about half a foot or so.
The beast jerks right around to face Nikolai in response, swiping at him and knocking him all the way back to where he came from. After landing, Nikolai realizes his left arm has been dislocated.

Jose runs towards one of his previously set up dagger traps and takes up a dagger.

Meanwhile, the still standing cloaked comrades are helping the downed comrades up.

Nikkolai tries to move to safety. Meanwhile, he imagines that the beast would be slowed from a half foot deep wound penetrating its hind leg.

It may be a good time to run.

The rat beast continues to run towards Nikolai.
It doesn't look like he'll be able to loop around the beast without the beast catching him.

Jose takes his dagger and begins running after the beast to try to dislodge the spear.
Jose finds that he's running at about the same speed as the rat now that it's been slowed by its impairment.
