Chunky World: Building

In the world of Chunky the most common calendar(only Vosulil doesn't use it out of the major powers listed) divides the year into 6 months.

Rejuvinary: The start of spring and the start of the year, planting season occurs.

Prosperous: First month of Summer, home the Mid-summer festival in Panalis.

Primarous: Second month of Summer, end of the school year for most academic institutions in Rimeria.

Reaping: First month of Autumn, the start of harvest season, and the beginning of vacation for schools in Rimeria.

Gathering: Second month of Autumn, the leaves fall and the weather becomes cold, mid Gathering, school starts again in Rimeria.

Cessary: The month of winter, it may or may not snow depending on the region, so traditions are vastly different among the different countries about life in winter.

Months are each 54 days, except Rejuvinary which is 1 day longer,  and are divided into 9 days long weeks. Weekends are typically 3 or 2 days long depending on who you ask.

Telecommunication in this world is done by specially trained mages called Seers, they can send an encrypted message almost instantaneously through thought over the distance of around 20km without aid, and so they form a relay network to transfer their messages long distances. A special device can boost the signal enough that it can be sent over vast distances, but it is more noticeable and prone to interception.

What does E.E. stand for?
Can I assume there's no radio, telegram, or bloody morse code lights either?

1) Rejuvinary 14, Year 1768 E.E. <- What does this stand for. I know it's the same as our B.C. and A.D. but what does your E.E. stand for?

2) What is the currency of this world called.

3) During a time of crisis, anyone with even a bit of medical training would be required to help the professionally trained medics. Why was Eryn turned down?

1) E. E stands for the Enlightened Era, its like an equivalent to our C.E. I suppose, although the dividing point is more significant. I'll put a timeline up later.

2) Panalis uses the Gram, subsections are Centigrams, or Cents.

3) They don't believe Eryn to know what shes doing, if Eryn can convince them shes knows something they will let her help.

4) Yes there's no radio and telegram, there's holographic spell disk "T.V." though, that rich people can play with.

-Height of the Thrismine Empire, which consists of the two southern islands of modern Cadelion, all of modern Panalis, a third of Kremilla, the northern half of Eprion, and all the minor States in between.

731 A.E.
-Thrismite civil war between two highly skilled and ambitious contenders to the throne, Crown Prince Eric and his third brother Philip. Many people die.

-Economic situation of the empire starts deteriorating due to mismanagement and worsened by natural disasters.

-The Great Upheaval, centuries of selective breeding caused the unforeseen consequence of producing male sorcerers who were either too powerful or too weak for their own good. New generations of female paragons begin to show up.

-The circle of thirteen is formed, consisting of thirteen powerful female archmages, who together demand and enforce the changing of many traditional succession laws of Panalis.

Since everyone is magical in this world, here are a list of cantrips that everyone should know.

Telekinesis - can remotely lift up to a sheet of paper from 8 feet away for the untrained, scales up.

Flame - most people can produce a matchstick sized flame

Physical enhancement - Most people can get a slight physical boost when agitated like adrenaline except more, mostly an unconscious effect.

Also a list of common knowledge military equipment used by Panalis and Cadelion, just because I thought it would be a good idea.

Rifles:

PA-44: 8mm bolt-action standard issue infantry rifle of Panalis, features a ingeniously designed straight pull bolt and a detachable 8 round magazine. 1100mm length, 9lbs weight.

RM-04: 8mm bolt-action standard issue infantry rifle of Cadelion, features also a detachable 8 round magazine, and is much lighter than the Panalese counterpart. 950mm length, 7.2lbs weight.

Machine guns:

CA Machine Gun: A overt ripoff of the Northernfield design of Panalese origin, this is only featured first for parallel purposes, is slightly lighter due to simplification of design.

Northernfield Gun: A venerable design invented by a Cadelionian man named Northernfield that fires the same 8mm cartridge as the RM-04. Has a water cooled barrel, and is extremely heavy, but is legendary for its reliability. 35lb gun with a 50lb tripod, 550 rpm.

Reilly Automatic Rifle: An air cooled light machine gun of Cadelionian origin following the success of the RHI MG2 which is designed to be carried by one infantry person. 18lbs, with a 15lbs bipod.

RHI MG2: The premier machine gun of Rimerian design, and the first air cooled weapon of its class, and also the first to achieve a rate of over 800 rounds per minute. Still, while its design gives it many advantages in terms of operation and weight, it is plagued by overheating problems that its rapid rate of fire has exacerbated. Many Rimerian units use the aid of Sorcerers to cool the barrel as a stopgap measure. 26lb gun with a 30lb tripod.

Armored Cavaliers(tanks) - Panalis:

Leubant 5 "Roland": Panalis' outdated but most numerous armored vehicle, mainly serves as a bunker buster and a breakthrough spearhead. Has an almost perfectly rectangular chassis, with a large square turret, Cadelionians mockingly call it the "box". Is armed with a 80mm/L30 main gun with 4 CA MG mounted on various places throughout vehicle's body. Its crew of 6 cannot actually man all those machine guns at once, but it serves to cover the vehicle with 360 degree anti-infantry protection. Thick 80mm armor plates all 4 sides of this vehicle, but it can only achieve a top speed of 22km/h due to its 52 ton(2000 lbs per ton) weight.

Leubant 21 "Arthur": The latest type of Cavalier to join the Panalese arsenal, it is envisioned as the ultimate defensive and offensive vehicle. Having realize that being huge and square only made for a bigger target, Panalese engineers have lowered the profile for this design significantly compared to the Roland, and the armored plates are now slanted to provide greater protection. The 80mm gun has been lengthened to 45 calibers, while the number of machine guns have been reduced to 3. Features 100mm frontal armor, 80mm side armor, and 30mm rear armor. 44 ton weight, and a 34km/h top speed.

Chadenill 2 "Martel":

Armored Cavaliers(tanks) - Cadelion:

Vanguard: The Cavalier which is equal in age to Panalis' Roland. Rather than being square, this vehicle looks stupidly circular, almost like it could roll over and drive upside down. Designed as a platform for battle mages to operate unimpeded, it was a completely different philsophy that drove its creation. As a result it is armed with a pair of 30mm cannons that fire high fragmentation rounds, and is armed also with 4 Northernfield machine guns. Its really hard to say where the front starts and where the back begins as it is very circular, but it features 50mm side armor, and 100mm front and back armor, with uneven thickness. 50 ton weight, and 24km/h top speed.
