Actually, it's REALLY easy. I didn't even know how easy it was, but I just made this script in like 10 minutes.

Install it with greasemonkey and enjoy! You can change the picture if you want by going to Tools->Greasemonkey->Manager User Scripts

Just to clarify: you can pick whatever picture you want with my script. It works for all pages on the forums and doesn't go away when you refresh.

I do like the idea of voting on the individual images, though. If there was a way we could do that, I'd be all for it!

putting 4 pics side by side is a lazy thing to do to make a crappy banner tho..... i cud make something more elaborate if u ppl suggest a scenario and details in it..... but for now, i'd b happy with the pic i made and i am too lazy to make one at the moment.... maybe after i finnish my summer hw which i hvn't even started... lol

I can barely see archetype earth and the starcraft stuff, and we aren't really halo-centric. yes, I was being lazy with the current banner, but that was because i was still learning how to use gimp at the time.

alright, one BIG problem- kelvin's pic is smaller by a significant margin. The text is also more difficult to read in comparison. I think maybe until you can come up with a better quality version I'll switch back.

i made the thing so i hve all the files and info on placement, i can edit it if you'd like, also if u find some font u like, i'l install it and replace... also i can give u the files i made it with if u want quan... if u wanna make a diff pic but use some elements, my files will make ur job a lot easier as i hve already deleted the backgrounds of the original pics

Yeah, its great from a content point of view, but the deliverance of the content is not effectively done. However, that is totally excusable because it is difficult to effectively place all that content in a picture of that size.

Though I do think if we could get a cool logo, that would be more effective. Instead of a collage. You could make it somewhat complex like the more detailed command seals of FSN. On the other hand a picture setup makes the site feel more welcoming and homey.

how is that what she said? I get the smaller part, but its really not asking for it. And another reason the pic sucks is that cloud has an assault rifle, everyone knows that cloud and sephiroth have an anti-gun policy, its not their style even though they could.
