Everyone post the the 3 or 4 basic champs they plan to be good enough with to use in tournament settings:
Amos:
Skarner
Tryndamere
Talon
Udyr (jungle)
Kennen/Ahri (need to practice one)

*Morde gets banned to death so I don't see him being useable
*Also looking for a tank style I can use better, trying malph and rammus, the AD physical damage tanks.

Also, people pick a jungler from : nocturne , lee sin, udyr, trundle - I will use the one the group thinks is the most useful for the team.

It is a good idea to have on hand and be good at some of the most banned champions, because there is a 50% chance that we get first pick and will be able to snag one of them, so get amumu or gp and be prepared to switch if you aren't good with them.(though I don't see why you wouldn't they are pretty easy to pwn with)
My list isn't really who I am good at, more of who I am usually not bad with:
Galio
Singed
Fiddle.sticks(Do not ask me to jungle, I do not have a set of armor seals yet, some people say you can jungle fiddles without them, well whatever their secret is I can't do it, the blue golem kills me every time if my timing is off by even a second, and that is something I'd rather not worry about every time i play)
Katarina - Usually not viable for ranked because of cc imbalance and crap, but it is great when I can
Morgana - I need to get her
Yes I agree I need to have an AD carry or at least someone who is not AP that I'm good with, I don't really know where to start. I would say Jax but....

Lane fiddles is not great, a stun or silence against him ends him. And with the inclusion of talon (who I think is an AWESOME counter pick, used to kill mages, not so great at killing the rest) there is enough stun / silence to ruin fiddles day.

singed
jungle fiddles
vladimir
tristana
soraka - tried her, amazing tanky dps, can take just as much as renekton, plus deals more damage the longer she's in a fight

btw amos, for ur jungler, u said urself that u didn't like trundle, and udyr got nerf'd kinda badly.... so noct or lee sin i guess

since the new patch came out, i have no idea how to pley soraka or taric now, so they aren't really viable for me atm

k bros, i figured out something u can all do (me included) so we can really hammer home our individual skill -
post 6 champions you plan to be able to reliably use by second semester (this is on your own time, just hammer home your skills with these champs), obviously if ur dudes get nerfed ur kinda exempt, happens.

Me:
Riven
Yorick
Renekton
Rumble?

Well, it's second semester now. I'll list by primary role:

Tank: Maokai, Galio, Singed, Amumu
AP Carry: Leblanc, Fiddlestics, Akali, Cassiopeia
Melee AD: um....Renekton, Skarner, Yi...you probably don't want me doing this.
Ranged AD: Vayne, Tristana
Support: sh!t
Jungler: Maokai, Fiddlestiks (Um, yeah I can jungle with a bunch of other champs like Lee Sin but I am not as practiced)

Yeah I know I'm bad at them, I have to have someone for the AD dps role though...

you don't need to be able to play everything - you are a much better range champion player than a melee champion player.
