League of Legends [Freeware MOBA - PC]

League of Legends is a game inspired by the Defense of the Ancients map for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne developed and published by Riot Games for Microsoft Windows. It was first announced on October 7, 2008 and released on October 27, 2009. The game was in a closed beta from April 10, 2009 to October 22, 2009. It then transitioned to open beta until release.
Steve "Guinsoo" Feak, the previous designer of the popular Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne custom map, DotA Allstars, and Steve “Pendragon” Mescon, the administrator of the former official support base for the map (www.dota-allstars.com), were involved with Riot Games in the development of League Of Legends. Using the original DotA created by Eul (the original Defence of The Ancients map for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos) as a base, Guinsoo made DotA Allstars by inserting his own mix of content, largely expanding the number of the heroes, and adding recipes, numerous items and various gameplay changes. Guinsoo then passed version 6 of the map on to its current developer, Icefrog. Pendragon, who is the Director of Community Relations for Riot Games, helped create the previous DotA Allstars website along with its forum.

Players are formed into 2 even teams with 3 or 5 champions on each team. Each team starts at opposing sides of a map, near what is called a "Nexus". A match is won when either the opposing team's Nexus is destroyed or the other team surrenders. To destroy a Nexus, each team must work through a series of towers called "Turrets". Turrets are often placed along a path to each base referred to as a "Lane". Along the way, each player must gain levels from killing the opposing team's "Champions" and "Minions" (small NPCs that constantly spawn and attack the other team) and defeating neutral monsters (some of which grant buffs known as Crests upon death). Also, champions purchase "Items" with in-match gold to improve their champion. In League of Legends, each player starts at level 1 at the beginning of the match and can obtain the maximum of level 18 with their champion, leveling 4 different champion-specific abilities.

meh, its super micro-ing, its very amusing - I'd love to get a list here of who has what bonus characters, so I know what I shouldn't be getting. Use teh skype in team matches so you can co-ordinate moves.

Breaking the ice here and giving this forum a reason to exists again. I don't personally play it, but seeing how everyone else and their mother is playing LoL now it would seem like a good topic to Resurrect our forum (although finding some expensive diamonds will be harder )

I suggest we make our own tier list of characters, per role.

The rolls being:
Tank
AP carry
AD carry
Assassin
Support
Jungler
Hybrid Tank Carry
Hybrid AP AD
Hybrid Carry Support

Each tier list would only include champions that actually qualify for the field. (Ex: Janna won't be in the tank list)

Tanks:
Rammus, Alistar, Shen, Garen, Nunu, Mordekaiser, Renekton

AP Carry:
Katarina, Kassadin, Malzahar, Ezreal, Ashe, Akali

AD Carry:
Master Yi, Jax

Assassin:
Ryze,Veigar, FAGGOT KERN-PERETS, Lux, Karthus, Annie, Shaco

Support:
Kayle, Morgana, Tristana, Gangplank, Taric, Sona, Singed, Sivir

Jungler: Warwick

Hybrid Tank Carry:
Sion, Pantheon, Cho'Gath, Xin Zhao, Nasus

Hybrid Carry Support:
Soraka, Janna, Teemo, Heimerdinger

Dunno lol: Swain, Blitzcrank(AP Tank...?), Poppy, Kennen

these are the roles, and characters fit in more than one category, I like how you only list warwick under jungling.

Ok, he's kind of a carry and stuff too but I like listing peeps under only one category. Which I suppose doesn't work.

I ment, like Shaco, Rammus and Olaf are also significant junglers, significant enough that you could exclude most others from Jungling but not them.

I would have to disagree with that, there are several exceptions: Lux, Kayle, Irelia(Fans complained so they turned it down), Karma, and Ezreal.

Karma has an ass the size of the moon. Lux, she is given that fake loli appeal + have you seen her chinese art? its almost identical in what she is wearing, just they manage to draw it so she looks like a slut. Ezreal, well maybe gay guys just dig the piles of outfits he has. Kayle, she manages to have a bust that goes 1 foot from her 6 inch thick torso. Irelia, meh fine.

Not sure where you get these figures from, I don't really care, but we do not use simple length in inches and feet to describe female body parts. That's for something else. use b/w/h circumferences and stuff.

a bust that shoots off from her torso, and is about twice as thick as her torso, thats pretty damn big.

Don't forget akali, being a C cup is pretty modest in Lol.
