It has really been a while since I updated the announcements...better start timestamping stuff! -- May 19th, 2011
But actually I stopped because my announcements are too trivial and nonsensical to be worth remembering.
I leave the following line up for nostalgia purposes as well:

Ah, Ryukishi07 shows his true colors as a Final Fantasy fan, I believe.

Listen to this:

it sounds very similar to a battle theme music I heard in a video game that was similar to final fantasy, SOMEONE TELL ME what it sounds like!!!

doesn't quite hit the mark, but is the game from which lights maguro stole the logo to make crucis with.

sounds like something I would hear from ff3 or 5, but it must be later, maybe 7 or above, my reason is because of the older pixel art games they had to use tones with up to 3 tones at a time (I saw a video on this {extra credits, weekly on thursdays at the escapistmagazine.com}) and since this music is using string, it must be recorded / synthesized, so try for starters there.
