It has really been a while since I updated the announcements...better start timestamping stuff! -- May 19th, 2011
But actually I stopped because my announcements are too trivial and nonsensical to be worth remembering.

Or something about how you should watch Puella Magi Madoka Magica because Gen Urobuchi wrote it?

Ok, on a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is Genshiken and 10 is Gurren Lagann, how epic is Puella Magi Madoka Magica?
(Answers of 10 will be discounted, nothing is as epic as Gurren Lagann. Except maybe LotR.)

puella is about a 6, it's not very intense, but it has a few fairly epic moments (altho ppl would prolly tend to LOL at those moments)

You're telling me to watch something when you haven't seen the classics?
btw I'm not saying genshiken is bad, but its just a slice of life series about a bunch of people, nothing major.

In my defense gurren langan is high on my list. I intend to watch it right after I finish Rock Lee and his Ninja Pals and Code Geass

I don't really like puella. The series does a bad job of endearing characters to the viewers (besides homu homu). I felt the ending was very weak (deus ex machina solves all the problems!). The series is more psychological than action based. The shift from the beginning to the actual meat of the series produces a surprise factor that is the strongest point of the series.

i mean, i don't like the series either... im pretty sure it was meant to be a gag anime, not a real anime... so ofc it has a powerofpoo plot and backstory
