It has really been a while since I updated the announcements...better start timestamping stuff! -- May 19th, 2011
But actually I stopped because my announcements are too trivial and nonsensical to be worth remembering.

I'm rallying the ProZ, and whoever else wants to take up our cause.

Day Z is a zombie apocalypse mod for Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead. It is gritty, realistic, and has an every man for himself, FFA atmosphere. It is insanely difficult precisely because everyone, including other players, are out to get you. But teamwork, between even only 2 or 3 people can drastically change your in game quality of life.

To cut to the chase: I want to establish an organized team so we can dominate this game inside and out, or die trying. So if you already have Arma2:OA on Steam or whatever, great, download Day Z and get familiarized. If you don't have it, or you just want to let us know you're in/terested, you can post on this topic, leave a comment on the steam group announcement, or e-mail me.

Legit Get: Buy Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead on Steam. That's the best I can do for you.

Alternative Get: Yeah I really do not want to get into trouble for this and have the site closed down, so here is a random adfly link on better alternatives. http://adf.ly/Anh2B

Hard as balls stealth survival squad based tactical shooter. Can't play on unlimited servers without legit get.

Well looks like there is going to be a mmo thats like DayZ called "The War Z" which has been in development sense 2011 so it's not copying DayZ. Closed Betas start later in the summer with an open beta most likely coming in the fall those interested a link is here:

Also for those who don't wanna shell out the cash for combined ops you can DL Arma 2 Free and download Dynamic Zombie Sandbox which while it doesn't have all the features like food and water but can be a good alternative until we decide to not be cheap and buy CO.

Amos and I have already found a pretty good place to gear up without fear of player persecution (so far). We're currently working on getting a car up and running.
